Deborah Barbouth, M.D., FACMG Medical Director for Newborn Screening in Florida and Director of the University of Miami Victor Center for Jewish Genetic Diseases will be speaking Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the JEA ( 5111 Abercorn Street) on a panel with Genetic Counselors from Anderson Cancer Institute, Savannah Perinatology Associates, and Genzyme Therapeutics on Starting at 6:30 PM with a Cancer Answers Health Fair sponsored by American Cancer Society in honor of Colorectal Cancer Month, the Speaker Panel event called Family Matters begins at 7 PM in Savannah. Healthy Girls Night Out

 

Free fun and food with a serious message for college-aged women (and teens with parental consent at the Jewish Educational Alliance, 5111 Abercorn Street in Savannah. Session Leaders Pamela G. Gallup, M.D and SCAD’s Tamara Knapp-Grosz, Ph.D., APRN, B.C. will begin at 5:30. Besides information to keep women safe, and healthy, door prizes include health club & pool passes. Some transportation is available through SCAD. All free but dinner reservation a must by calling 912-355-8111.
